This picture is from the turn of the 20th Century. It contains numerous cracks throughout the picture, several of which ran through the eyes and face. The following restoration steps were taken:

Repaired a number of deep creases some of which covered the face and eyes
Created and rebuilt parts of eyes and nose
Restored black, white and grays
Sharpened image
Minimized coarseness
Removed stains
Replaced the background and created a vignette

What a great old photograph of children and their dog on a porch! This picture is from Vikki Hansen at RetouchPro.com. This photograph had numerous stains, including on two of the faces. This photograph was also significantly discolored and faded. We restored this gem by:

Removing all stains throughout the picture, including faces, clothing, and siding.
Removing all writing on the picture.
Restoring detail to all the faces (and dog).
Opening up the shadows, highlights and midtones.
Sharpening the picture.

		This picture belongs to Steve Shalford of Solihull, England, and it shows his grandfather in 1910 sitting in his new car with his friend onlooking. To restore this photograph which was extremely damaged due to tape and the environment, we did the following: Cleared up all the tape stains, cracks and lines on the car, street and building Improved highlights, shadows and midtones Sharpened the photograph
